Foraminifera

Among all species of marine realm, Forams are found very sensitive to climate change (CaCo3 erosion due to ocean acidification). Hence their barcode library will be highly accessed library for future research. This group intend to agglutinate the foram researcher for betterment of future foram research. See More

barcode gaps for fishes?

Since plenty of barcode for diverse groups of fishes from most of the aquatic environment have been produced, has any lab defined and published the barcode gaps for fishes? As this could facilitate identification and discovery of new species to be reported.See More

DNA barcoding Marine Yeast- DBYR

Hi every one.Is anyone working on Barcoding marine yeast? Since I believe very little work is been done with marine yeast, I have started sequencing marine yeast species collected around Indian waters. This is self funded work. I also look for collaboration and joint publications if any are willing. So far I have collected 27 genera from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Looking forward to produce at least 200 barcodes. Planned to increase the number of barcodes based on collaborations. Please…See More
