Peter Nick said… Dear Dhivya,
we are interested in Ayurvedic plants and their adulterants and use a combination of molecular markers and traditional microscopic monographies and HPLC/TLC based methods. In our Botanical Garden we maintain the specimens as living references, because we found that traditional names and taxonomy very often are not exactly identical. Moreover, these plants that are more and more popular in Europe, are often not correctly determined, which has the consequence that our food safety authorities are often restrictive. We are therefore interested in partners that have access to "primary" knowledge and material.
with best regards. Peter Nick
