Hi,

I realized I posted my comment in the wrong place... Apologies, here it goes again:

I have started working with the biocode plugin since a week ago and I find it awesome, and I am looking forward to use it further. Everything worked as in the tutorial video (except for the binning parameters, but I already read how to solve that) when I used it with an excel table in a local database... However, I would like to use the google fusion tables possibility. I have tried to do the same, and my tables are recognized in the login window, however when I entered into the login, nothing is recognized when I do the search as if anything was imported... Can anyone explain me what I could possibly be doing wrong? Thanks A LOT for your answer,

Best greetings,

Ruth

I am looking forward to hearing any comments, suggestions, similar experiences...

Hi there Ruth,

The first thing that comes to mind is that perhaps you haven't set your columns up correctly in the connection dialog.  The procedure is the same for as for an excel file, so I would suggest that to test, you take an excel file that you know is working with the LIMS and upload it into fusion tables.  Connect to it and set up the columns in exactly the same way as you did for the local excel file, then try and do a search for tissues.  It should bring back exactly the same documents as you got when you were searching the excel file.

please let me know if this works

Hi Steven,

thanks for the reply. Well I have done what you suggested with different files, and unfortunately, I get the same result. The uploading of the tissues does work with the excel spreadsheets. But it fails when I entered the fusion tables. They are however recognized in the first login window and the computer seems to be uploading something but I am unable to find those tissues anymore once I login (when I do it with the same file using the excel procedure it does work and I easily find my uploaded tissues with the search function, just as in the tutorial).

Do you think it may have to do with the fact I work with linux ubuntu version? However, I have also tried the same with a mac, and it did not work... I do not own a windows machine, so I have not tried that yet.

Let me know if you find a solution or an explanation to this "misbehaviour",

Best wishes,

Ruth
