Hi Steve,
Me again - I'm trying to delete some test plates from the LIMS and get (for some of them) the attached error message. Any tips how to proceed?
Thanks a lot and best regards,
Dirk
P.S. Did you succeed finding a solution for our problem that each time we start biocode we have to specify all fields for tissues, plates and taxonomy (and the MySQL Driver for some of us) the although it should be saved?

That looks like a bug - could you tell me what type of LIMS database you're using (local or remote). It looks like the LIMS is having trouble deleting traces associated with the sequencing plate you're deleting - the only workaround that I could think of is to individually delete all plates, however if you are using a remote database then I should be able to give you a sql script to run that would fix the error. For a local database I can make a change in the code.
PS- yes, I believe so. I am just waiting on fixing one more thing before doing a release - should be happening very soon.

that would be great! Our LIMS is on a remote MySQL database. Deleting the plates individually does not work either - I get the same error messages.
Looking very forward to the new release! We have a lot of data piling up.
Best, Dirk

Do you have any idea what version of the database script you used to create your remote database, and how many times (if any) it has been upgraded to a newer version?
thanks
Steve
Permalink Reply by Dirk Erpenbeck on August 2, 2012 at 9:30am Great! We used v. 8 to create the database and recently upgraded to v. 9
I hope that helps,
Thanks a lot,
Dirk
