I am writing to encourage discussion on ways to highlight HealthBOL barcoding activities at the Adelaide conference later this year. My guess is that there are enough activities, especially for disease vectors, to assure visibility at the conference. To my knowledge it may be less so for disease causing pathogens. Is there enough interest? It may be useful for people to post information on what activities they are engaged in. Perhaps some collaborations might emerge? I work on tsetse flies and mosquitoes, and will do some ticks, sandflies and possibly some mites also.
