free floating hatched out egg masses was successfully barcoded for species delineation. will this work falls under scope of environmental barcoding?

l have been involved in barcoding of soil nematodes and l use them as bio-indicator for the environment

Hi all,

I'm using the QIIME pipeline to analyse 454 reads of COI amplified from malaise trap samples. What are people using to (1) assign taxonomies (I'm using Munch et al.'s SAP for now) and (2) correct for homopolymer errors?

Having been involved in Phytoplankton and zooplankton diversity, distribution and inclusion as feral live feed of culturable fin-fish and shell fish species in Nigeria, my interest in the future barcoding of these organisms encourages me to ask for admission to the Environmental barcoding group. Hi there,

just sign in a couple of days ago and wanted to introduce my self and ask you guys a question on environmental barcoding.

Currently I am working on barcoding sponges (antarctic) and coral/octocorals. However, I am really interested in this env. barcoding for some future projects.

Could you guys point me to some introductory papers on the subject? I would be interested in assessing metazoan larval diversity from plankton for instance. In any case metazoan diversity...
