FAQ: How do I access the analytical tools on BOLD for my dataset?

BOLD analytical tools are available for any data set that exists in BOLD (including publicly available data).

To perform analysis on your own data set, it must be uploaded into BOLD. First, specimen data must be uploaded, followed by sequences.  Images should be uploaded before starting analysis as they often help in troubleshooting results.

Once this data has been uploaded to your project on BOLD, the suite of barcode analytical tools can be accessed through the project console under the headings "Sequences Analysis" or "Specimen Aggregates".

Some examples of barcode analysis tools on BOLD include Taxon ID Tree, Nearest Neighbour Analysis, Distribution Maps, and Image Library.
