software for which step of the process?

for keeping track of metadata?

for evaluating sequences?

for trimming and processing chromatograms and building a conscensus sequence?

for QC of the concensus sequences in a taxonomic framework?

freeware only or are you willing to purchase software?

Dear Sir,

           Thank you for your response regarding my queries,but for now I have completed sequence alignment and Phylogenetic work using MEGA5 and CLUSTAL W softwares.Further, I am planning to do my work in Barcoding ,therefore I would like to know the appropriate software for carryng out the same.It would be immense helpful for me if I get the free verson of the particular software. For example,

It really matters what your intentions were in the first place. What questions do you plan to answer using the data you have obtained?

If you are planning to create BARCODES for the organisms you have collected and worked on, I suggest you check out the Barcode Of Life Data (BOLD) systems website and look at the requirements for depositing BARCODES.

 

I assume you have already checked for Open Reading Frames and all?
