Isolation of DNA and PCR amplification of single thrips with COI

hello all...

I am doing DNA isolation from single thrips and wanted to do COI amplification. but constantly I failed to get amplification.

I am using protease K treatment to isolate DNA and using crude extract for the PCR. but there is no amplification.

I have used many more buffer systems but neither gave constant results.

please suggest me any solution to get out of this problem. 

I found there is problem with crushing such a small insect. It is not possible to crush the insect efficiently. If crushed then some amount lost with the crushing body. also performing purification steps minimizes the total DNA content to the drastic level.

please help me...
