Permalink Reply by Lyndell M. Bade on February 14, 2012 at 2:03pm Hello everyone,
I've just been reading the discussions and introductions, and this looks like a wonderful, welcoming, community! I'm glad to be a member. My name is Lyndell, and I'm working on barcoding shellfish (and some seagrass) species. I'm starting the sequencing process tomorrow, actually. :) I'm using the COI gene to develop primers to work on elasmobranch (shark, skates, and rays) stomach content analysis. If you work on bivalves and have tips/suggestions/ideas to pass along, I'd greatly appreciate it!
All the Best,
Lyndell

I'm interested in this kind of projects very much, because i do my work in biodiversiy of some groupps of mammals of Armenia. Now i use Barcode of Life Database to finish my graduating work, that i started to do in Warsaw, Poland with cooperate my collegues in Muzeum and Instutie of Zoology. I think this site may be helpfull to me for using it, understandig some points in this work and get a new connections in science life of the world)..

My name is Tamara, I've started few months ago barcoding fishes from Eilat Gulf (Israel), I'm working at the Interuniversity Insitute of Marine Sciences in Eilat. I'm facing some problems with PCRs in some species, and I would like to get in contact with collegues who can help me answering some questions regarding DNA Extraction protocols , DNA concentration of samples to perform PCR, primers and may be other question , regarding to FISHES.
Thanks to all !

I am very happy to know that you are doing DNA Barcoding of fishes of Eilat Gulf. When I was studying at faculty at Rehovot, I been in Eilat to work with Coral fish barcoding with Benny Ron. We are having some collection too, Benny can help you. I will be very happy to provide you the information on your queries.
Be in touch.

Thanks for your message, and thanks for the contact. My boss knows Benny, and we will get in contact with him. Are you working now in Barcoding as well? which species?
Greetings from Center for Molecular Dynamics Nepal [www.cmdn.org], we are involved with conservation genetics work on endangered species of Nepal.
We are conducting wildlife and plant DNA barcoding work in Nepal!
Glad to be connected with this network.

I am Pamoda, a M. Phil. student from Sri Lanka and am working on mosquitoes. May I know whether there are experts in Mosquito barcoding where I can gain bioinformatics related help since I am a novice to barcoding!
Thanks and regards
