My name is Irene Routio and I practically know nothing about barcoding:). I collect land snails because very few people in Finland know these species.I have collected samples and keep them freezed. I work as a volunteer at Zoological Museum, University of Turku, Finland.

Permalink Reply by Oscar Iván González Solís on September 2, 2011 at 2:12pm hello to everyone, i´m Oscar González, graduate student in the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo, México. I usually work with the distribution, taxonomy and biogeography at amphibians and reptiles. Now I´m going to start to work with the complex of Aspidoscelis gularis, i´m going to determinate the BARCODE to the species of the complex.
I hope somebody can help me and guide me to the basic things and information to the barcode of life.

Permalink Reply by Barcoding Invasives_South Africa on September 14, 2011 at 5:52am The DNA barcoding of terrestrial and fresh water invasive species in South Africa is a collaborative project between the Early Detection and Rapid Response Programme of the The Working for Water Programme and South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) and the African Centre for DNA Barcoding (ACDB) at the University of Johannesburg, funded by the Natural Resource Management Programme. We aim to collect invasive plant and animal samples in South Africa for barcoding and provide access to the barcode data through the BOLD system to aid in identification.

I am Vijaykumar Muley, working as Assistant Professor in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in collaboration with DNA barcode group working at Paul hebert centre for DNA barcoding and biodiversity studies in the same campus. I have completed my doctoral studies in bioinformatics on the aspects of sequence based genome-scale protein-protein functional linkages prediction which comes under system biology. I have also equipped with skills required for phylogenetic analysis. I would be glad to collaborate with researchers working in the field of biodiversity. I can assist in statistical and computational analysis of sequence and quantitative data.
Looking forward for positive responses
