international online community for dna barcoding professionals

Are there any pre-existing initiatives in the Barcode of Life for conducting research in the forensic sciences?  At my university, we are developing a new "body farm" for investigation of forensic anthropology, and we would like create a baseline for species comparisons, particularly insects that are forensically important.  Because many of these insects are immatures, BOLD is a perfect solution.  I would appreciate any information that you may have regarding this topic.  Thanks!  Mary Liz

dear mary liz

as far as the forensic science is concerned we have to analyse samples which are highly degraded nd isolation of complete COI is difficult task as i had faced it in my laboratory so we have to stick upon a short sequence of primers from coi so that we can go for comparison in highly degraded samples.
